Working with families is truly a privilege and I continue to be humbled by the human capacity for vulnerability and change. Making an authentic connection with you and your story is important to me, and I feel this is what creates an environment where collaborative treatment begins. I believe that mental wellness should be treated the same as physical wellness and together we can create some goals that will work for you and your family. You are the expert on your life and your situation; I am happy to bring my education and experience to guide you along the way.
During the last decade, I have had the opportunity to work with children, families, and adults from all backgrounds facing the most difficult of circumstances. My clinical education and experience has focused on providing support for individuals and families in multiple areas, such as anxiety, depression, separation/divorce, pre-partum and peri-partum stage of pregnancy, ADHD, behavioural issues, separation, stress/coping, family conflict, relationship issues, school issues, sleep, and trauma.
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Being a social worker means I take into consideration not just the person in front of me, but their family and support system as well. I approach my clients from a trauma-informed, attachment theory framework, using various modalities to suit the individual in front of me. I have professional advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Attachment Theory, and have had the pleasure of facilitating groups for parents, children, and families. I am committed to ongoing learning in new therapies and evidence-based research.
I look forward to meeting with you.
